Farand Wasiak with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) will present on "Computer Crimes".
Farand graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo (1998) with a BA in Legal Studies and minor in Sociology. He has worked for the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office from 2000-2005. He has been with SLED Computer Crimes since 2005-present.
He is both a criminal investigator and computer forensic analyst (Access Data Certified Examiner). His investigative caseload is primarily internet crimes against children (ICAC) and network intrusions.
He is also part of the Secret Service's Electronic Crimes Task Force, Task Force Office (TFO) with the FBI's Cyber squad, and member of the Attorney General's ICAC task force.

He has extensive training (both as a student and class proctor) at the Secret Service's National Computer Forensic Institute in Hoover Alabama in the fields of computer forensics and network intrusion response and investigations.
