The Future Is Now – and It’s Digital

While technology has already transformed society in ways never imagined, you haven’t seen anything yet.  In this talk we’ll examine how technology impacts everyday life, how it’s transformed industries and jobs, as well as the tremendous opportunities being created by it.  We’ll also look at the technology scene in Columbia and the Midlands and ways you and colleagues can get involved. 

The presentation speaker is Todd Lewis

Todd Lewis is the Executive Director of IT-oLogy @Innovista.

He is responsible for overall operations of the IT-oLogy @ Innovista office. It Includes program development and delivery, partner recruitment and development, marketing, and fundraising. IT-oLogy is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to growing the number of IT professionals in the U.S.

Mr. Lewis also started and Chairs All Things Open, an open source technology conference located in the Raleigh/Research Triangle area of North Carolina. He is responsible for all planning, coordination, and marketing. The conference features some of the most well known experts in the field of open source technology as well as the largest and most influential IT companies in the U.S.

He serves as Chair of Great Wide Open, a conference dedicated to open source, open tech, and the open web. Responsible for nearly every aspect of the event, and thankful for the opportunity. We host some of the most well known open experts in the world in downtown Atlanta on Peachtree Street.

Todd serves as Chair of the Palmetto Open Source Software Conference (POSSCON). Responsible for overall conference management and oversight. Involved in every operational and planning facet.

POSSCON has become one of the largest open source events in the southeast. In 2013 approximately 500 people for 16 states and 7 countries attended and participated. The event featured the industry's most well known speakers and companies.

Additionally, Mr. Lewis is Managing Partner at Palmetto Computer Labs, LLC where he is responsible for overall strategy, development and management. He works with partners to determine service focus areas, and assures client expansion, maintenance, and support.
